The PROMEnhance Project successfully concluded with its international final meeting held online on 28 January 2025. This significant event brought together 30 participants from Italy, Greece, Romania, Portugal, and Cyprus, including key stakeholders, students, practitioners, and project partners. This meeting aimed to contribute to the professionalization of participatory and innovative local development processes at the EU level.

Key Outcomes:
- Showcase Impactful Results: Project partners presented the tangible outcomes achieved throughout the project’s lifetime, demonstrating the successful implementation of various activities.
- Deep Dive into Work Package 2: A dedicated session explored the findings of the Analytical Report on current and innovative practices of territorial development processes. This in-depth analysis provided valuable insights into 10 case studies analyzed within 5 countries.
- Highlight Work Package 3: The meeting emphasized the significance of the developed Competence Framework. This comprehensive framework outlines the essential skills and knowledge required for professionals involved in participatory local development, including pathways for both initial and continuing education.
- Present Work Package 3 Deliverables: The piloting and development phase of the Curricula and Digital Resources on Participatory Local Development for students and facilitators were showcased. These innovative resources aim to equip future professionals – Students & Facilitators – with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively engage in participatory development initiatives.
Key Outcomes:
- Project Unveiling: The meeting served as a platform to unveil the key findings and innovative methodologies developed by the PROMEnhance Project.
- Knowledge Sharing: Attendees gained valuable insights into best practices for fostering professionalization within the EU’s local development sector.
- Networking Opportunities: The event facilitated valuable networking and knowledge exchange among professionals working in local development across the EU.
The insights and resources generated by the PROMEnhance Project will continue to support the professionalization of the local development sector in the years to come.
To further disseminate the project’s outcomes, each partner will organize an in-person event within their respective countries following this online international meeting, engaging local stakeholders and fostering wider understanding.
